Sunomono Salad

All Hail Rice Wine Vinegar

Ingredients

  • 2-3 Japanese or Persian Cucumbers
  • 3 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp sesame seeds


Preparation Instructions

  1. Slice cucumbers thin.
  2. Sprinkle with salt, wait 5 minutes, then squeeze cucumbers to remove water. Be firm!
  3. Mix rice vinegar, sugar, soy sauce until dissolved, then add to cucumbers.
  4. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  5. Enjoy!
